UW-Milwaukee
At UW-Milwaukee within the School of Continuing Education (UWM SCE), I designed various header images for the Business and Management and College for Kids email blasts. Checking over test emails for other programs helped me understand the code of the emails I was creating within Emma, the email layout program. I learned what to look for in the slug and how to write code for it. This was my first role in marketing and it was eye-opening to see statistics about my creations and make decisions based on audience clicks.
I was given a short description of the subject of the email and its contents. I then had to choose a stock image to correlate or create a design for the image based on that sentence. I followed UWM’s brand guidelines, using their font choices and colors to create my designs.
